2. Non-Affiliation & Independent Service
Vindata.ca is an independent data aggregator and service provider. We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Carfax, AutoCheck, the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), or any specific government agency. All third-party trademarks, service marks, and logos are the property of their respective owners. We collect data from public sources and third-party partners to generate our reports.
3. Services & Preliminary Searches
Vindata.ca provides vehicle history reports for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose.
Preliminary Searches: Our free VIN decoder and preliminary search tools provide basic information to verify the VIN. Please note that the data in a full paid report is sourced from different databases and may contain more or different information than the preliminary search. A positive result in a preliminary search does not guarantee specific details (like accident records or odometer readings) will be present in the final report if they are not available in our source databases.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties

YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. VINDATA.CA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT (I) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, (II) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR (III) THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
5. Limitation of Liability
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT VINDATA.CA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC REPORT GENERATING THE CLAIM.
6. Data Accuracy & Official Sources
Vindata.ca aggregates data from various third-party sources (such as auctions, insurers, state/provincial agencies, and salvage yards). We do not create this data and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. We serve solely as a conduit for this information.
Official Data Disclaimer: Our reports may not contain all information available in official government registries (like NMVTIS in the US or heavy vehicle registries). Significant vehicle damage or history may not be reported if it was not captured by our specific data sources. A vehicle history report is NOT a substitute for an independent vehicle inspection.
7. Refund Policy
Technical Failures Only: Refunds are strictly limited to technical issues where a report fails to generate or convert to PDF after a successful payment.
No Refunds for Content: We do NOT offer refunds if you are simply unsatisfied with the data found (e.g., "No records found" effectively confirms a clean history for the sources checked) or if the report does not reveal a specific accident you suspected. We report "as is" based on available data.
To request a refund for a technical error, please contact contact.vindata.ca@gmail.com with your transaction details.
8. Service Delivery
Reports are delivered digitally via email and a direct download link immediately upon purchase. You are responsible for ensuring the email address provided is correct and accessible. Vindata.ca is not responsible for non-delivery due to incorrect email addresses or spam filters.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vindata.ca, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and third parties, for any losses, costs, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) relating to or arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site or services, any user postings made by you, your violation of any terms of this Agreement, or your violation of any rights of a third party, or your violation of any applicable laws, rules or regulations.
